Maya Grill-Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Sometimes when visiting Walt Disney World, you just want to have dinner at your resort. Luckily, during our last trip in June 2025, we were staying at Coronado Springs, and we had the opportunity to eat at Maya Grill. Read on to find out about our experience and to decide if you want to stop by during your next visit to WDW.
Restaurant Information
A view of the restaurant from one of the bridges at the resort.
The restaurant is open daily from 5pm-10pm.
You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance through the website, the my Disney Experience app, or by calling.
We made a reservation for our arrival night and we were so glad that we did! We unpacked and headed over for a lovely meal before getting some much needed rest so we could hit the parks nice and refreshed.
We checked in at the hostess stand 15 minutes in advance of our reservation, but they sat us right away.
The cuisine is described as American, Mexican, Seafood, Steakhouse, Casual Dining.
The restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan.
The restaurant offers a 10% discount to Disney Annual passholders.
The menu items range from $15-$34.99.
If you book a reservation, the restaurant does have a cancellation policy. The credit card that you used to book will be charged $10 per person if you do not cancel 2 hours in advance.
Screenshot taken from www.disneyworld.disney.go.com. The restaurant is located near the Conference Center. If you go in through the main towers and follow the hallways to the left, you will run into it after you pass the gift shop and some of the other restaurants and their “food court”.
The Decor
This mural is just across from the check in desk as you enter the restaurant.
The ambience of the restaurant matches the overall theme of the resort but in a “grand Mexican dining room featuring ancient-modern styling and Nuevo Latino cuisines”. The colors are warm and inviting and there is a live guitar player most nights who plays Disney tunes in a calming and romantic way that transforms the evening.
There are a few different dining spaces, and if you can, I recommend asking to sit in the space that faces the water. The open windows give you a stunning view of the property. We have eaten here several times, and this was by far our favorite table.
The Food
The Menu
We have eaten here several times, and we always go for the same main course. This time we decided to try a few different items as well.
House Guacamole
The menu describes the guacamole as: A delicious blend of hand-crushed avocado, topped with pumpkin seeds, and a refreshing mango salsa. Served with crispy tortilla chips. $16
The chips were indeed super crispy and we polished off every single one. They had the perfect amount of salt. The pumpkin seeds were a great add and something different than your typical guacamole. The mango gave it a nice, sweet twist. We give it an 8.5 out of 10.
The Margarita Flight
The info from the menu:
El Sol-Vibrant pineapple margarita crafted with Ilegal Mezcal and Lunazul Reposado, offering a light, refreshing taste with a subtle smoky depth that enhances the natural sweetness of pineapple. Finished with a Tajín rim.
Prickly Pear-Casa Noble Blanco, orange liqueur, prickly pear simple syrup & fresh pressed lime.
Dragones Top Shelf-Casa Dragones blanco tequila, Torres orange liqueur, house made limonada, Served on the rocks with black ant salt rim.
$35
We tried the Dragones first and to us it tasted like a classic margarita. It was good, smooth, strong. We give it a 7 out of 10.
The second one we tried was the Prickly Pear. It was a little sweeter than the first one. Matt preferred the classic one. This one was our least favorite. We give it a 6 out of 10.
We saved the best for last. There was a hint of pineapple flavor and some smokiness. It was my favorite, and the rim was super tasty! 8 out of 10.
Steak Fajitas
The details from the menu: Sauteed peppers and onions, Mexican rice, refried beans, cotija cheese, served with shredded cheddar jack cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Add a side of Guacamole $2. $35
As expected with fajitas they come out on a sizzling skillet and are super hot! You get 4 warm flour tortillas and a plate of “fixings” to make up your tortilla how you like it. I like mine with cheese, sour cream, the corn, and steak.
The steak was slightly overcooked tonight but that is not our usual experience. It is tender and cooked in butter with good flavor (you can tell it has been marinated). Because the two of us are sharing, we asked for an extra side of tortillas and we can usually get 6 out of the amount of food provided. The refried beans were slightly runny tonight and needed a little salt and pepper. The rice is just rice (maybe made in chicken broth).
The real star of the show besides the steak is the corn. It is absolutely fantastic. It is slathered in butter and cheese, and I could eat heaps of it.
If we were to judge the whole thing we would give it 7.5 out of 10.
In Conclusion
On our way back to our room. Crossing one of the bridges with the Coronado Towers in the background.
Overall, the music, ambiance, and food keep us coming back. If you are staying at Coronado Springs and are looking for a nice comfortable meal at a good price, we recommend the Maya Grill.
